The core of this necklace is Idar Oberstein agates mined in Brazil, cut in Idar Oberstein, Germany in the mid-late 1800's and traded into Africa. These prized beads are featured with vintage Fulani gold-washed metal.
The Fulani are an ethnic group widely dispersed in the Sahara, Sahel and West Africa.
